Paradise Island — pristine beaches, turquoise lagoons and the warmest welcome in the Indian Ocean.
Mauritius is our home ground. As one of South Africa's top Beachcomber agencies we have walked these resorts, eaten in their restaurants and watched the sun set over Le Morne more times than we can count — so when we match you to a resort, it comes from first-hand experience, not a brochure.
It suits everyone: honeymooners chasing barefoot luxury, families who want kids clubs and calm lagoons, golfers eyeing championship courses, and anyone who simply wants a short flight to somewhere extraordinary.
We mostly sell Beachcomber's eight resorts — from the flagship Royal Palm to family favourites like Trou aux Biches and Canonnier — because their consistency, half-board value and service keep our clients coming back. Tell us your travel style and we'll match the right resort to it.
From our own trips — the things we tell friends and family.
No — South African passport holders can visit Mauritius visa-free for up to 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. Always confirm current requirements before travelling.
May to December offers dry, mild weather that is ideal for the beach and golf. December to April is hotter and greener with the odd tropical shower. Mauritius is genuinely a year-round destination.
Direct flights from Johannesburg take about 4 hours, making Mauritius one of the easiest island escapes for South Africans.
Trou aux Biches, Canonnier and Victoria Beachcomber are our go-to family picks — kids clubs, calm lagoons and family suites. Tell us your children's ages and we'll recommend the best fit and current family specials.
