Thailand Travel Guide

Thailand is a vibrant, beautiful, and bustling Country. Well known for the "the land of smiles".

We spent 14 unforgettable days in Thailand for our honeymoon. It was our first trip that was a bit more "foreign" to us and we loved it. Thailand has a lot to offer to all types of travellers. There is so much to see and experience, not to mention their delicious food! This was the best part of the holiday for me. I fell in love with Thai food and have been cooking it ever since.

Thailand's pristine beaches are perfect for a dream island holiday. You can spend hours on the beach enjoying the beautiful view or go on their adventurous excursions. From canoeing in Phang Nga Bay to visiting Phi Phi island by speedboat.

The island Phuket also does a wonderful island tour, or you can immerse yourself in the mystical, magical myths of Thailand Fanatasea, a unique cultural theme park that combines history and culture with night entertainment. Shopping in Thailand is great. You can buy anything from clothes to art so make sure you come with empty bags. Massage's. We did a massage every day. It is out of this world and extremely affordable. They focus on pressure points that you don't even know you have. A must do!

We explored the streets and found it much better to walk everywhere in Phuket and Karon. You get to see much more, and the vibe was contagious. You can take tuk tuk's but we found that it was quite expensive for the short distances because they have a certain rate they start on. It is a lot of fun to hop from one bar to the other until you reach your end destination. You meet people and it makes your trip interesting.

Bangla road is a must see and has the best nightlife if you are in for a good party! We also travelled by speedboat to one of the smaller islands. I must say this was my highlight of our holiday. Wooden cabins that overlook the beautiful ocean. Peaceful, unspoiled, authentic and a hidden gem. So special/unspoiled that I do not even want to tell people where it is...!

The best time to visit Thailand is in their dry season. From November to April. This is peak season, so it tends to get quite busy. If you want to avoid the crowds, best will be to travel between May and October to the island. It is also more affordable then.

All in all, we had a great experience and would love to go back and visit the other parts of the island.
